Treasured Vignettes
“I was always beholding the Lord in my presence, for He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken. Therefore my heart was glad and my tongue exulted; moreover my flesh also will abide in hope.” Acts 2:25-26ff
Because Jesus Christ lives, we, as God’s children, too, shall live (eternally). It is as Jesus prayed, “even as Thou, Father, {art} in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be in Us.” We, His disciples, always have Him with us, even in us. The right hand is symbolic of strength and action; and, Christ’s Spirit in us is our strength and guide for action. Not only do we know about hope in our minds and our hearts bubble over with it, our bodies also dwell in the hope of resurrection to glory on that day. Because He lives, hope “abides” in the believer, body and soul and spirit. Selah.
