All of us, at one time or another, have “feared what man can do to us.” Many of us have a hard time trusting another with our weaknesses or phobias. Yet, when we encounter a person who exudes the peace of Christ, we feel at ease and safe enough to share our fears and frailties. This saint’s humble confidence in the Lord chases our fears and gives us courage to be vulnerable. Their every word and action declares, “Peace be with you,” because of the Spirit of Christ that is in control of their lives. Do you know some one like that? He/She is a gift sent from God our Father; but, remember, he/she is just like you. The only difference is that Jesus “came in the midst” of him/her, filled him/her with the Holy Spirit, and speaks “peace” through him/her into your life. Selah.
