Treasured Vignettes
“Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:10
Peter addresses the stress Christians can suffer for doing what is right, “For what credit is there if, when you sin and are harshly treated, you endure it patiently? But if when you do what is right and suffer for it you patiently endure it, this finds favor with God.” What do you expect when you do what is right? If you’re like me, you expect to be rewarded right away. What do you do, then, if the reward is not immediate or suffering occurs as a result of doing right? Selah.
