Treasured Vignettes
“. . . But let everyone be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.” James 1:19-20
It is not the opinion or analysis of men that we are to hear with the intention of acting upon it; no, it is the Word of Truth we are to heed. It is not the witty, quick response that we are to give; the wise person restrains his/her words, waiting upon the Lord to give understanding and utterance. The righteousness of God is found in the fruit of self-control. Think about it.
