This whole passage in Ephesians is about being “clothed” with Christ, for through Him God has provided truth, integrity (righteousness), faithfulness, peace, salvation and the Holy Spirit. And we, Christians, are to be alert and ready to face our enemies, having been prepared and reinforced by the Lord of Hosts, to be able to resist every onslaught. His first command, “Cease striving (your warlike activities against Me) and know that (acknowledge, listen to and obey) I am God.” Think about it.
