Faith in God constructs a moral steadfastness in a person’s heart that shelters the humble soul in the day of evil. For through faith in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, a moral fiber is woven, by the Holy Spirit, into the spirit of the repentant one; a “breastplate of righteousness” is set as a covering over the heart of God’s child. Moral rectitude, which God supplies through faith in Jesus Christ, braces the one who believes against the onslaughts of the world, the flesh and the devil, leaving him/her free to run the appointed course and finish the race.
