If an individual desires deeper intimacy with God, then forgiveness is a needed companion. Anger, bitterness, and unforgiveness will only block the way, fetter this desire and keep the human spirit and heart languishing for life. Forgiveness is the weapon of the pilgrim that slays the dragon and destroys his works. It is the supernatural strength that tears down strongholds and vain imaginations which keep us from the knowledge of God. Forgiveness is the way of the overcomer. Think about it.
