“Love hopes all things.” 1 Corinthians 13:7 (paraphrased)
Love desires that all things would come to the fulfillment of their purpose, and so, expectantly waits upon the Author and Finisher of Creation. Love does not lose hope even when the one he loves looks for fulfillment in all the wrong places. Love’s hope is not tethered to the temporal but anchored in the Divine One. Even in expectancy, anxiety is calmed by quiet certitude. Within the struggles of life on this earth, love finds the seed of promise and plants it in the fertile soil of faith in God. Love “holds fast to the confession of his hope,” for he knows that the One who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23) and able to perform it (Romans 4:21). Think about it.
