The fairytale of Cinderella comes to mind as I read this verse. We, like Cinderella, lived in a house under tyranny, the tyranny of sin. Our Prince, Jesus Christ, found us and took us to His home to live as His Bride, as the King’s child. But we didn’t know how to live as a “King’s child.” No matter, the King still gave us “the right to become children of God.” Everything must be transformed in order to become the Bride meant for the Prince. Our minds (the way we think), our emotions (the way we feel), our will (the way we decide and determine to do things), our hearts, our souls and our strength. We are chosen, set at the Prince’s side, declared by the King to be His Bride. And, we are given the Holy Spirit as Tutor and Helper, who changes us “from glory to glory into the image” of the Prince’s Bride. Think about it.
