Part of our “new identity” in Christ is that we are one of many others, not only joined to Christ, but joined to His saints. However, we have not given up our individual uniqueness. A tree in a forest fills, with other trees, the eye with green bow and brown trunk. However, upon closer examination, each tree is unique in design, standing in a particular place and serving a certain area with shade and habitat. Christ’s body is intended to fill His heaven and earth with glory. We do that by recognizing each member as necessary, as deserving of a place of honor and as worthy of receiving care from one another. Each of us is given by God, a specific design, a particular place and a unique function that He may be glorified and magnified. Think about it.
