Treasured Vignettes
"And answering them, He said, 'Who are My mother and My brothers?' And looking about on those who were sitting around Him, He said, 'Behold, My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of God, he is My brother and sister and mother.'" Mark 3:33-35
Artists have depicted Jesus as a scholar, pale, wistful, gentile, even frail. But if you read God's Word and pay attention to what Jesus said, you would find a different Jesus. The true Jesus was knowledgable and well-spoken, tanned from the sun, hardy, thoughtful and convicting, gentle with the sinner and afflicted, firm with the proud and self-righteous, weary at times but not weakened. God's will was paramont to all He was and said and did. Obedience to that will His passion. And those who desire to do likewise, He embraces as family. Think about it.
