Treasured Vignettes
"Great are the works of the LORD; {they are} studied by all who delight in them. Splendid and majestic is His work; and His righteousness endures forever. He has made His wonders to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and compassionate. He has given food to those who fear Him; He will remember His covenant forever. He has made known to His people the power of His works, in giving them the heritage of the nations. The works of His hands are truth and justice; all His precepts are sure. They are upheld forever and ever; they are performed in truth and uprightness. He has sent redemption to His people; He has ordained His covenant forever; Holy and awesome is His name. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do {His commandments} His praise endures forever. Psalm 111:2-11
God is greater than your hearts; He can override what you think of yourself and your actions (1 John 3:20). God is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Satan has to ask permission to do anything to God's people (Job 1:11-12). God can feed thousands with the meager lot of man (Matthew 14:19-21; Mark 8: 6-9). God can draw water from a rock and make dry land in the middle of a sea (Exodus 17:6; 14:21-22). God has authority over the destiny of a person's body and soul (Matthew 10:28). God can cleanse mankind, for all time, from every sin, by the blood of just one Man, Jesus Christ( Hebrews 9: 12-14; Matthew 26:28). God gives life and He takes it away; and, He can raise the dead to life again (Hebrews 11:19; 2 Corinthians 4:14). And that's just a few examples. Think about it.
