GET A HOLD ON IT


"But as for that in good soil, these are [the people] who hearing the Word, hold it fast in a just--noble, virtuous and worthy heart--and steadily bring forth fruit with patience" (Luke 8:15 AMP).

This heart has been prepared by the Master Gardner and is waiting to receive the Word of God.  It is already seeking God, wanting to do right and trying to do good.  Even if we are "missing the mark," our intent is finding God.  We seem to listen to the deep, quiet voice of our spirit, "Seek God, for in Him is your life."  There comes a day when we hear His Spirit say, "Here I AM," and we take hold of His Word and draw close to Him.  We have found Him!

Those of us who are described as the "good soil" encounter all the trials, temptations, cares and pleasures of this earthly life; yet, hold fast to God's Word and patiently allow it to transform the seed into a sprout, the sprout into a sapling, the sapling into a fruitful tree.  We yield to the masterful hand of the Sower, trusting in His care, His intent and His plan.  And, though, we suffer as others, yet, we focus on Him Who planted us, not on where we are planted.  Think about it.
