CHRISTIAN, YOU'RE DIFFERENT
"You are living a brand new kind of life that is continually learning more and more what is right, and trying constantly to be more and more like Christ who created this new life within you." Colossians 3:10 LB
Whereas, you formerly trusted in yourself to make sense of life, to keep your self safe and to care for your soul; now, you have turned to God and put your trust in His Son Who came to give you life--eternal life. Before, in the old life, you rejected, even hated, God because you didn't know Him. You were captivated by your own evil desires and sins, rotten passions of anger, hatred, cursing, worshiping the good things of life rather than God Who gave them to you. Your were driven by lusts for sexual pleasure, worldly philosophies, lies, the world's ideas of how to be saved and the rules of oppressive, evil people. Since you have put your trust in Jesus Christ, He has been changing you and your priorities. He has set you free and made you alive again to God and His good plan for you. You are no longer bound to worrying about things here on earth. You can deaden your evil desires and stimulate your love for real life which is shared with God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. You have begun to comprehend God's deep love and concern for you and are now tenderheartedly concerned for the welfare of others-- not just your own. You are learning about the goodness of God and He is teaching you His ways of compassion, mercy, kindness, love, faithfulness, joy goodness, gentleness, peacefulness, self-control and forgiveness. Viva la difference! Think about it.
