REAL SECURITY
"No one shall snatch them away from Me, for my Father has given them to Me, and He is more powerful than anyone else, so no one can kidnap them from Me." (See John 10:25-30)
It is certain our national economy holds no security for us. It is a sure thing that our political leaders are as insecure as any other person. Our military, armed to the teeth with all the advancements of weaponry, cannot stop a tornado, still a hurricane, block an earthquake or restrain a flood. The rich man cannot secure his soul with his possessions. The poor man cannot lose his soul because of his poverty. Every person who believes in Jesus Christ is saved by God for His Son's glory and for His good pleasure. Satan may try to steal believers from Christ with his lies and evil schemes, but God, being much more powerful, has secured them in the palm of His hand. The world may try to take Christ's lambs by persecution, even death, but Jesus has overcome the world and secured us in His sheepfold. Our own sinful nature may wrestle with following Our Shepherd, but He chastens us and disciplines us while He keeps us securely with Him. Our real security lies not in what we sense around us, but in the determination of the Lord God Almighty to have us for His own. Think about it.
