LEFT UNDONE
"But woe to you, Pharisees! Because you tithe mint and rue and every (little) herb, and disregard and neglect justice and the love of God. These you ought to have done without leaving the others undone. [Leviticus 27:30; Micah 6:8]" (Luke 11:42 AMP)
More and more, as the honor of God is neglected for the trappings of man-made religion amongst the people of God, we see greed, robbery, extortion (improper pressure), malice and wickedness practiced. We begin leaving undone those things that Christ commanded us because we find no pleasure in them. We find ourselves serving our egos and defiling the Communion Table. Some wonder why there is no power to spread the Good News, yet leave undone their dedication to love God and obedience to His commandments. We act foolishly because we have left undone our submission to God's Lordship. Nothing can supplant doing justice, loving kindness and walking humbly with our God, for the acquisition of our soul's deep satisfaction! {To do justly begins with and ends with loving our neighbors as we love ourselves. This means, as we are kind, patient, caring about the well-being of ourselves, we should be willing to extend the same to those around us.} Woe (future sorrow) is ours if we leave the things of God undone today! Think about it.
