READY TO SUPPLY
"And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful steward, the wise man whom his master will set over those in his household service, to supply them their allowance of food at the appointed time? Blessed--happy, and to be envied--is that servant whom his master finds doing so when he arrives" (Luke 12:42-43 AMP).
Are you ready to supply what the Lord has given you to those whom He has set in your charge? When God makes and appoints you to be a steward, He gives you the authority and provisions to care for that which He has given you responsibility. We don't need to be anxious about the provisions we will need in order to fulfill our office. Our Master, Who lacks nothing, will supply all our needs. We are to set our minds on Him--His lordship and righteous character. He will provide the "right" thing at the "right" time so that His faithful servant has even more than we anticipated.
In this passage, Luke 12: 42-48, we find a warning for those who are given a charge of stewardship yet neglect to observe all that is required of them. They are punished, cut off and their future is assigned the same destiny as any other of the unfaithful. Think about it.
