TRYING TO SEE JESUS

"And there was a man called Zacchaeus, a tax collector and rich.  And he was trying to see Jesus . . ." (Luke 19:2-10 AMP)

There are those who are trying to see Jesus only to criticize, accuse and reject Him when He speaks to them (See Luke 12: 53-54).  There are those trying to see Jesus to be entertained or for their own pleasure or to satisfy their curiosity.  They hear Him speak and are amazed, yet remain unchanged in their hearts, still desiring to seek their own interests and pleasures.  Then, there are those who are trying to see Jesus, first out of curiosity; but, when He speaks to them and invites them to "sup with Him," they receive and welcome Him joyfully into their lives.  His presence with them brings about a change of perspective and attitude, desire and devotion.they receive the salvation of God through Jesus Christ and the Lordship of Christ with repentance and joy-filled humility, submission and obedience.  These are those who populate the kingdom of God.  Think about it.
