"And [said Jesus] I tell you, that to every one who gets and has, will more be given; but from the man who does not get, and does not have, will be taken away even what he has." (Luke 19:26 AMP; see also vv.12-27)
In the story that precedes this verse, Luke 19:26, a "nobleman", who had servants, chose ten of them for an assigned task: he gave them each ten minas and told them to by and sell so as to make a profit for their master. When he returned those who were obedient were rewarded, those who were not obedient were punished.
Everyone, EVERYONE, who is chosen by God to receive salvation has the opportunity and means to become the people of God. They are given the Holy Spirit of God that they may be His witnesses in the earth, learning and teaching obedience to the commands of Christ. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is represented, in the story in Luke, by the "ten minas." If God's people will, by faith, receive the Holy Spirit and practice living by Christ's commandments, they will profit the Lord and receive a great reward at the Master's return. Those who take of the Lord's, sow it sparingly will reap a spare return (2 Cor 9:6-11). Those who hate God and do nothing with what He has given them in Jesus Christ, will find themselves, not only without, but treated as a conquered enemy (vv.22-27). "And this is that testimony--that evidence: God gave us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who possesses the Son has life; he who does not possess the Son of God does not have that life" (1 John 5:11-12). Think about it.
