BE PREPARED!

"But take heed to yourselves and be on your guard lest your hearts be overburdened and depressed--weighed down--with giddiness and headache and nausea of self-indulgence, drunkenness, and worldly worries and cares pertaining to (the business of ) this life . . ." (Luke 21:34 AMP)

"Be prepared," is a motto used by many service organizations in the world today.  What it means is they are to be ready, at a moment's notice, to help people in need.  They are to be ready to care for themselves and/or others for survival.

Jesus, taught His disciples to be prepared, also.  Our hearts are to be ready to receive our Lord at His coming.  We are to exercise our faith daily, through love, and "strip off and throw aside every encumbrance--unnecessary weight--and that sin which so readily ( deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us" (Hebrews 12:1ff).  We must "submit to the correction and discipline of the Lord," being conformed to God's will in purpose, thought and action.

By the signs of the times, it is evident that the day of redemption and deliverance for God's people is drawing nearer.  Will He find faith when He returns?  Are you prepared to face God?  Think about it.

(For further understanding, read Luke 21 and Hebrews 12 in their entirety).
