WISDOM OF GOD
"So that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men (human philosophy), but in the power of God . . .But rather what we are setting forth is a wisdom of God once hidden [from the human understanding] and now revealed to us by God; [that wisdom] which God devised and decreed before the ages for our glorification, [that is, to lift us into the glory of His presence]" (1 Corinthians 2:5,7 AMP).
Humans love knowledge! But not all knowledge leads to the Truth. For much of human knowledge is corrupted by sin. Knowledge, in human terms, doesn't just involve observations and facts but vain imaginations, irreverant philosophies, petty controversies and blind assumptions. This "human knowledge" fosters strife and breeds quarrels since it is fed by pride and lust.
Those who believe in, trust, adhere to and rely on God are to have nothing with such knowledge. We must cleanse ourselves and separate ourselves from contact with such corrupting influences. We do this, not by withdrawing from the world, but by faithfully pursuing righteousness, faith, love and peace with God and man. We make it our life's goal to do the will of God. We are to pursue knowledge of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. We must submit to the Holy Spirit of God, His teaching and guidance that will transform our minds and conform us to the will of God and the Truth.
