CHURCH GROWTH
NO ONE IS NEGLECTED

"In generations past He (the living God) permitted all nations to walk in their ways; Yet He did not neglect to leave some witness of Himself, for He did you good and kindnesses, and gave you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with nourishment and happiness" (Acts 14:16-17 AMP).

Not one person, who has drawn breath, has been or is neglected by God!  Jesus Himself speaks of the Father's care for all mankind as a clear witness of Himself:  "for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous" (Matthew 5:45).  No, the neglect has been man's doing concerning the living God.  That's what sinning is; that's what a sinner does.  The sinner is careless of his trust and foolishly trusts in the rain or sun instead of the One who created both.  The sinner refuses to receive God as his Supreme Ruler and vainly tries to make himself god and the ruler of his destiny. The sinner refuses to embrace the witness of God because he loves evil more than righteousness.  He refuses to honor God for that means he would have to humble himself and submit to God's Lordship.

The fool says to himself, "There is no God" (Psalm 14:1), acts accordingly and perishes.  God did not neglect to give this fool a witness!  The response to God's witness of Himself requires a response of veneration and "reverential fear for God, treating Him with worshipful obedience and living uprightly."  (See Acts 10:35).  God does not neglect any sinner in his sin!  He sent a Savior to give forgiveness of sin to all mankind.  "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him (trusts, clings to, relies on) Him may not perish--come to destruction, be lost--but have eternal (everlasting) life" (John 3:16).  Think about it.
