With the technology of today skilled technicians can create “virtual reality.” These technicians can doctor events photographically so that what is fantasy appears real and visa versa. This, in itself, is not evil; however, like anything man creates, it can be used for good or evil. If used for evil purposes, the undiscerning will be deceived and evil increased. It will take “divine insight” for an individual to be able to discern truth from deception and righteousness from wickedness. Insight comes by way of the Holy Spirit. He has been sent to “convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment.” He has been given to Jesus’ disciples to “guide you into all truth” and” disclose to you what is to come.” Christians are given the Holy Spirit that we may learn righteousness and act righteously. When we act in righteousness, we will stand out like beacons in this dark world. Jesus commissioned us to “make disciples,” i.e., “to lead many to righteousness.” Jesus, through His word, exhorts us to “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” What’s your wattage, 30, 60, 100?
